Malcesine - Sports

Sailing and Windsurfing find a good home here on the Lake. Throughout most of the year the winds blow reliably in both morning and afternoon and are of ideal strength for these sports.
There are many sailing schools here where you can go to learn or improve or simply try one of these water sports.

Trekking: From Malcesine to the summit of Monte Baldo there are many different trails with different kind of difficulty levels as well as duration, so giving such a big choice for every training and expectations.

Bike: Using the new cableway, it is possible to take a bicycle with you and once you have arrived up on the mountain, you will find more than 40 km of paths, dirt tracks and roads covering its length and breadth, as far as the banks of Lake Garda. For who loves to stay on the asphalted road, instead, a new cycle-lane along the beaches from Malcesine to Navene is now available. Further up the valley towards Trento there are also the famous Tremalzo, Monte Altissimo and Cima Pernici descents .

Paraglyding: Monte Baldo is one of the favourite sites for Parascenders and their descents in harmony with the thermic currents.
You can get up the mountain (1760 m) in a few minutes thanks to the cable-car and there is a superb landing site on the shores of the lake just north of Malcesine.
Climbing
: A few kilometres away, near the town of Arco, is a fabulous area for natural and artificial Rock Climbing. In this wide area there are many climbing tracks where you can go alone or with a guide on difficult climbs or the less demanding Vie Ferrate.
